NIAGARA PENINSULA CHILDREN’S CENTRE SCHOOL AUTHORITY
“Weaving Education and Therapy Together for Student Success”
The Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre School is one of six School Authorities in the province of Ontario. The NPCC School does not belong to any of the local school boards, and as such, has its own trustees who govern the operations and policies of the school. As a School Authority, the NPCC School serves students from the local District School Boards with communication and/or multiple disabilities in specialized programs.
The NPCC School provides special education programs and services to students who have been referred from the Niagara Peninsula Children’s Centre, the local District School Boards, or from other agencies within the Niagara Region. A multidisciplinary approach is used to meet students’ needs. Educators and therapists weave together educational goals with therapeutic goals. We are committed to building student success for the purposes of transitioning students successfully to their local schools or for participation in the community at large.
All students attending the NPCC School are eligible for transportation to and from school on a daily basis. Given the distribution of students attending the NPCC School, the time on the bus, each way, ranges from 60 minutes to 90 minutes.
