KIDS HELPING KIDS HITS OVER $300,000 MARK
Students in the Niagara Catholic District School Board raised more than $30,000 in the 2006 Annual "Kids Helping Kids" campaign. This was the 9th year for the fundraiser, and brings the total to more than $300,000 since the program was started.
During the 2006 campaign, over 255 students toured the Centre, delivered presentations to their peers, and Centre staff and volunteers made similiar presentations in the schools.
In presenting the cheque at the June Board meeting, Chair Dan Whipple complimented the students in the school system saying, "This is more than a partnership; we feel we are part of the process. The beauty of this whole thing is the theme, the money comes from little things kids do. This is true from the heart money and it is used well. It truly is kids helping kids".
Two students who attend NCDSB schools and the NPCC Jessica Schneider and Ryan Boros were on hand for the cheque presentation.
