NIAGARA WHEELCHAIR ASSOCIATION PRESENTS CHEQUE

One of Canada's premier wheelchair sports athletes visited the Niagara Peninsula Children's Centre to present a cheque from the Niagara District Wheelchair Sports Association.

Ed Batt stated that membership in the Association has decreased over the past few years and the presentation of this cheque marked the closing of this local group.

Ed attended the NPCC School as a youngster and over the years he won several International, National and Provincial Para Olympics awards in basketball and track and field. In 1977 he was named athlete of the year. We thank Ed and the Association for their generous support.
