NO FLAWS IN COMEDY OF ERRORS
It's one of the Niagara Peninusla Children's Centre's most successful annual fundraising projects and the 2006 Shakespeare in the Vineyard series at Henry of Pelham Winery was a tremendous success as once again this year, Meridian Credit Union joined Henry of Pelham winery as a presenting partner.
Hundreds of patrons turned out to experience theatre at its best under the stars in the Niagara air and sip away a glass or two of some of the areas finest wines.
The Niagara Falls Firehall Theatre group did a magnificent job in orchestrating one of Shakespeare's finest comedies that was directed by Michael Madden and produced by Laura Moffat.
Plans are already underway for year 2007, and the organizing committee is pleased to announce that both Michael and Laura have agreed to return for next year's production and have selected Shakespeare's "The Winters Tale" as the play.
Several off duty members of the St. Catharines Professional Firefighter's Association came to the assistance of NPCC in both constructing and dismantling the Shakespeare stage, a large task with considerable planning and the outcome was excellent. Without this assistance, construction costs would have been considerable and would have meant less revenue for the Children's Centre.
