WAINFLEET MAYOR'S GOLF FORE NPCC
More than $16,000 was raised in the 4th Annual Wainfleet Mayor's Golf Challenge with proceeds directed to the Niagara Peninsula Children's Centre.
In selecting the NPCC as the charity of choice, Mayor Gordon Harry says, "the tournament is a very meaningful way to help children with a variety of physical and communicative disabilites receive the care they deserve".
Tournament chair Tanya Levay says, "the NPCC has been wonderful to work with and their dedication for the children is clearly evident. It has been our extreme pleasure and honour to work with such a worthwhile organization".
Tanya says the tournament sold out in record time and she is very grateful and amazed by the selfless commitment of business owners and community individuals who made donations that contributed to the tournaments success.
One of the highlights was a hole in one by John Cunane who won a two years lease on a 2006 Dodge Caravan.
